Dr Don Hezseltine - Private general practice physician

Dr Hezseltine qualified from Sheffield Medical School with MB ChB and carried out post-graduate training in several areas of medicine at Doncaster Royal Infirmary.

He holds the Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and Membership of the Royal College General Practitioners. He joined Dr Ray Outwin and Dr Jim Chippindale at the Regent Square Group Practice in 1982 where he was a principal in NHS general practice until 2005. He was also an appointed Police Surgeon to the South Yorkshire Constabulary from 1986 to 2002. Dr Hezseltine left NHS practice to devote his time to private general practice. He has worked from his rooms in Heather Court since 2000.

Dr Hezseltine is married to Wendy who is a partner in a local law firm. They have 3 daughters: Elizabeth has an MA in Medieval History, Katie is a general practitioner in Nottinghamshire and Alice is a management consultant for Ernst & Young in London. They have five grandchildren, Poppy, Matilda, Oscar, Eliza and Beatrice who happily occupy a lot of their spare time.

Dr Hezseltine enjoys practicing family medicine with an emphasis on continuing care. He enjoys his family, music, cycling, walking, especially in Derbyshire, and eating out - but only healthy food, of course!
